This Elahiyeh Canal Excavation Stabilization project was carried out adjacent to the Elahiyeh Canal and, despite the relatively shallow excavation depth, was one of the company’s most challenging projects due to the site’s specific geotechnical conditions and the exceptionally high volume of water entering the excavation. The site consisted of coarse-grained, cohesionless soil, which not only made excavation challenging but also caused the injected grout to be washed out by the high water flow, increasing the risk of instability. Special measures were therefore implemented to control grout washout and ensure continuous excavation drainage. Through coordinated management of groundwater conditions, excavation operations, and grout injection, the project was successfully completed within the planned schedule.
